Regarding the "brainstorming" session between DAS/DOC:
Members,
Well, I made it into that meeting yesterday, but only briefly. I am saddened to report that I was not welcome and asked to leave as it was for managers only. I can say that I did not exit until they heard about our situation and as they sat in silenced shock, I professionally yet very directly set the mood as I addressed the situation with our expectation of answers and solutions. Prior to them realizing I was present, their banter was unprofessional and disrespectful towards our situation. I must admit, it was the hardest day for me yet, as I really wanted to flip but knew it was not how I wanted us remembered for that day. I was contacted by their supervisor extending an apology and my response was, "If my people behaved that way, we would be disciplined. Sure hope you remember how to do that." I truly believe they have no idea what they are doing in this situation.
I got an email from Baldwin in payroll,
Hi Elena,
I worked through your emails and finished the spreadsheet. I have provided the spreadsheet to Brittany to look into to see what we can do to get people paid.
Geri got back to me this morning with a list of the people that were overpaid and had money taken out of the mid-month checks. We are currently cleaning up the list (putting names and PDC codes on it). Those with ACH should have a payment tomorrow. Those with paper checks will be able to pick them up at their institution as soon as we sort the checks.

This does not include payments to members who had corrected timesheets for unreported, missed OT or LWOP to VA pay outs. No idea when they will get to those.
